Call us nostalgic, but we miss the simplicity of the mid-century playgrounds which fueled imagination and creative play for many generations. Back in the day, QCP, then known as Quick Crete, made turtles, dolphins, and other play structures all out of precast concrete. They were a hit and you can still see them in some older parks. They were great for climbing, they lasted forever and kids loved them.

Today’s park designers are getting back to the basics. We have had so many requests for some of our old playground products we have decided to introduce a new line of precast concrete Play Creatures. Shaped in six friendly, interactive forms, a dolphin, frog, ladybug, caterpillar, snail and whale, the new Play Creatures line is built to a modern spec while recalling the fun and simplicity of playtime “back in the day."

"Our Play Creatures are a cool throwback to when playgrounds were a little more minimal and a lot more hands on,” said Rick Crook, CEO of QCP. “In the age of tablets and apps, these bigger-than-life creature shapes really invite kids to free their imaginations, get active and go wild."

Play Creatures are available in eight playful colors, including Natural, Quail Hill Red, Latte, French Gray, Harvest, Bungalow, Adobe Taupe and Mission White. And because the pigment is integrated into the concrete mix, the color can’t be damaged or chip off. The Play Creatures come standard with a polished monochromatic finish that give each amenity a minimal, highly designed look that invites climbing, crawling, jumping and playing. Meanwhile, our high-tech, anti-graffiti sealer repel taggers and vandals.
