Where do you go after 40 years of leadership in the precast concrete site furnishings industry? For QCP, the answer is simple: to the next level.

Introducing Q2, an all-new way for landscape architects to collaborate closely with QCP and take full advantage of our extensive custom product capabilities. With Q2, we’ve taken decades of excellence in precast production and combined it with the limitless possibilities of 3D modeling for a design-to-delivery experience unlike any other.

Old School Meets New

“QCP has always been about both old-school, hands-on craftsmanship and pushing the envelope with technology for what’s possible in precast,” stated Rick Crook, chief executive officer of QCP. “Q2 lets us bring those two sides of our brand together like never before. It’s something we’re uniquely built to offer.”

Q2 partners with you every step of the way to ensure a seamless project development experience from ideation right up to the finished installation. Because we’re collaborating with you at every level, we’re able to find more efficiencies to keep your project on time, on budget and with the care and attention to detail that has defined QCP from the get go.

A 3D Vision for Precast

With today’s design sensibilities moving continuously toward fluid, organic shapes that fit naturally into their environment, a custom precast design studio with 3D modeling capabilities has never been more valuable. Let’s face it: 3D modeling is a challenging new frontier for many landscape architects, but Q2 provides valuable insights and engineering expertise to help you build better projects.

“We’re helping landscape architects really see all aspects of their projects by sculpting and troubleshooting at the 3D level,” said Crook. “Plus, we can manufacture using molds created straight from approved 3D models; saving time, money and stress. Before Q2, you’d have to do everything by hand at a high cost and lengthy turnaround.”

Getting the Green Light

The Q2 team’s 3D capabilities have added benefits outside of the design and manufacturing process. Sometimes they can even be the key to getting the all-important buyoff from project owners. Showing stakeholders a rich, accurate 3D rendering of a new site’s amenities can mean the difference between getting the green light and going back to the drawing board—a fact several early Q2 clients have already taken advantage of.

“We were recently tapped for a large commercial project,” continued Crook. “The landscape architect had a vision, but needed help selling it to the powers that be. The Q2 team worked with him to create quarter-scale mockups of each custom piece from 3D renderings to show the owner, and the project was approved. Having something to touch and feel made all the difference on this project, but would have been nearly impossible for a more traditional shop.”

Your Custom Precast Partner

Q2 has already helped bring high-profile projects to life for HOK’s Central and Wolfe tech campus in Silicon Valley, CA as well as the new Robertson Plaza renovation in Los Angeles. We are ready to integrate our fine-tuned, custom shop process into your next project, too.
