Inglewood, CA, January 29, 2026 - QCP’s 2025 closed with a high note: The world-renowned Kia Forum has been known to host the most popular musicians of all time, and now, it’s home to a brand-new modular seating system. The new installation is just a stone’s throw from the site of more QCP seat walls designed by Studio-MLA at SoFi Stadium.
The sinuous style of the seat wall makes it unique, while also carving out corners for groups to have more privacy in an alfresco setting. Among the most challenging parts of the design was developing a system that didn’t have to be anchored to the existing structure. Several full-size mockups were created to get it to the client’s exact specifications, and adjustments were made accordingly until it was approved for production. CEO Rick Crook referred to the process as a “design-build,” involving more of a collaboration than a typical spec from a landscape architect.
“They had rough drawings of what they wanted, and we were able to help them evolve the design,” he says. “We also worked on the constructibility side and were able to save them a lot of money by using standard planters, as opposed to customizing an integrated planter system.”

QCP Project Manager Pasquale Amendola worked closely on this assignment, recommending a wider, more curved seat to create a more ergonomic, comfortable option for the Forum’s guests. In total, the system comprises thirteen bench pieces and 16 planters, and the benches measure 60 feet in length. QCP also performed the install, a service which is now available for projects in Southern California.
Because these pieces were placed directly on top of the Forum’s existing flooring, they can easily be moved and won’t leave any markings. “The product did not require footings, and if it gets dirty or damaged, we can go in and repair it to make it look brand new at their request,” Crook adds. “The same QCP team members adept at installing can also do maintenance and repairs and keep it looking great for years to come.”
This is one of the latest projects we were proud to collaborate on in 2025, and we look forward to more innovations and partnerships in 2026. This year marks our 50th year in business, and we are endlessly grateful to the landscape architects and designers who have inspired us over the past half-century.
