Subtle Simplicity: QCP Unveils the Ronin, a New Outdoor Table & Seating Concept

Norco, CA, June 14 - In collaboration with Max Beach at Linespace, QCP is unveiling our newest concept: the Ronin Table & Seating Ensemble. Designed for the outdoors, the Ronin is a kit of parts with variations to suit any particular space.

“I wanted a very thin appearance from the edge. The tapered internal form makes it look much lighter than it really is,” Beach says. “Almost like it is floating.”

The ensemble works well at universities, office and hospitality spaces, parks, and city plazas. The goal was to reimagine the classic outdoor park table.  There are several choices you can make when you order. There are stools or benches, and you can add backs to them as well. Plus, you can add in electrical outlets, a game board, umbrella and more. ADA accessible versions are also featured.

“The Ronin really provides a lot of versatility and we think the design is really playful, fun and sophisticated,” says QCP CEO Rick Crook.

Beach adds that the aesthetics of the Ronin allow it to complement the other site furnishings and the project architecture.

The Ronin Table is available in two-, four- or six-person versions. You can order chairs or benches with it, or bring in your own seating options, and Ronin chairs are also available for purchase separately. The Ronin ensemble is made with low-carbon cement and a high-performance concrete mix. We also recommend that you specify a honed finish for cleanliness, durability and quality.

Meet the Many Sizes & Colors of the Merge: Expanding QCP’s Line with the Duo and Trio

In 2022, QCP introduced the Merge concept, a full line of site furnishings that mixes materials like wood, steel, and concrete. By October 2023, we released the new-and-improved waste container design, the Merge Mono. In our latest update to the Merge line, we’re sharing the Duo and Trio, which expand upon the Mono

True to their name, the Duo and Trio provide two or three respective spots for disposing of waste or recycling. Just like the Mono, these new items also come with a precast concrete top and base, and a steel frame with wood slats made from sustainably sourced hardwoods. The result is a lineup of long-lasting products with a wood finish that will patina over the years. The top and base are also non-corrosive, weather-resistant, and heavy enough to anchor down the waste container. Plus, the following optional features are available: a rain cover, locking mechanism, and door pull. All products within the Merge line are now offered in powder-coated steel, so you can order them in one of 12 colors — from bright and bold Melon Yellow to classic and standard Traffic Black.
