Norco, CA, September 5 - QCP is thrilled to announce that we’re donating to not one, but two important community-based projects: Lafayette Park in Los Angeles and Taco Plaza in Sacramento. We were so impressed by all of the pro bono project submissions this year, but these two stood out for several reasons.

Below, learn a bit more about these deserving projects:

Taco Plaza

North of downtown Sacramento, the Gardenland-Northgate Neighborhood Association is partnering with Atlas Lab Inc. to transform an underutilized parking lot into a vibrant community gathering hub. This updated space is already known for taco truck activations, but it will soon become a destination for residents and visitors alike.

A portion of the parking lot will have several Cascade Round waste receptacles and Standard Food Court Round tables installed.

Lafayette Park

Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA) is an organization that’s provided free after-school programming for thousands of underserved and underrepresented students in the MacArthur Park/Westlake area and other nearby neighborhoods for more than 30 years. HOLA’s Arts and Recreation Center is located in Lafayette Park, which welcomes children and teens for outdoor play and educational opportunities. In partnership with cityLAB, a multidisciplinary research center within UCLA’s Architecture and Urban Design Department, they’re hoping to use QCP products to create a waiting and social area within the park.

The plan is to add Pebbles of varying sizes, a Bog, two Cornhole 2 boards, and several Twist benches to offer more places for HOLA students and parents to sit and engage with each other.

We’re excited to get started on these important projects, and we look forward to sharing photos with you soon. If you have a project you’d like to submit for consideration in 2025, please learn more about how to share your information here.
